Dallas, TX

I took Brian to Dallas to see his beloved Cowboys in September 2010. Unfortunately, the team didn't have its game on and the Bears won. Oh well. At least we had a good little weekend in Dallas.

We stayed at the Palomar. What a beautiful small hotel. I got our room at a ridiculously low rate thanks to Priceline.

Hotel Restaurant and Bar: "Central 214"

Our breakfast. lunch and our first dinner was at "Central 214". We thought the food was very good.
Chicken caesar salad
American club sandwich
Crispy prosciutto cheddar apple bbq sauce, spicy avocado
Double-boned pork chop apple thyme bread pudding, sweet apricot glaze
Grilled "bone in" ribeye bacon-cheddar hash and roasted mushroom demi

HOTEL SPA: I also had a 60-minute massage at the hotel's spa "Exhale Spa". It was fabulous.

HOTEL PARKING: We had a rental car on this trip. There's only valet parking at the hotel and it's $20/night.

DINNER on our 2nd night was at St. Martin's Wine Bistro. Our food there was also very good.

Filet mignon
Creme brulee
Pork tenderloin
Chocolate soufle

COWBOYS STADIUM: The new stadium is really beautiful. We toured it the day before the game. Brian got to meet Rocket Ismail which he was really excited about.  Parking at the stadium is pricey. We parked in a $40 lot. We saw a $60 lot closer to the stadium!

It was a fun weekend getaway!
