Mediterranean Cruise

To celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, my in-laws invited all of us (children and families) on a Mediterranean cruise in July of 2014. How kind are they and how lucky are we?! Brian and I are not cruise people but we had a GREAT time. We flew to Barcelona, Spain, where we boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that took us to the south of France and Italy in a week.

So it begins...

Hola Barcelona, Spain!

It's cruise time!

Mandatory lifeboat drill before we set sail. #NoTitanicHere

 Here we go!

1st stop: South of France. Bonjour!

We booked a private tour with Provence Xplorer which took us to Aix en Provence, Marseille and Cassis. Jeff, Jim, Claire and the boys joined us on this tour.

Aix en Provence

 Marseille

 Cassis & Les Calanques

It's dress up night on the cruise.

Pisa & Florence, Italy

We booked a private tour with Tuscany Tours. First stop, leaning tower of Pisa.

Then it was on to Florence.

All aboard to Rome & Vatican City

Fun times on the ship

Amalfi Coast & Pompeii

We booked a private tour with Leisure Italy for this excursion. I think this was our favorite excursion. We fell in love with Positano.
