My sister Marie, my two nieces Natasha & Vivianne, and I decided to have a long weekend of fun in the one and only city of New Orleans. We had such a great time! We can't wait to do it again next year in another great American city! #Girltrip #FunTimes #NOLA

Hellooo New Orleans |
We stayed at the
Hyatt French Quarter which is located within walking distance of Bourbon Street. The Hyatt is a lovely hotel with friendly staff... and best of all, they serve delicious drinks at the Batch Bar!

Eating great food was one of the things we were most looking forward to. Our our first night, we had dinner at
GW Fins. This was the best dinner of our trip. EVERYTHING was yummy, from the biscuit to the seafood to the dessert. GW Fins is a must-do restaurant in New Orleans!

Let the fun times begin! |
After our fabulous dinner, we walked around Bourbon Street, people watched and found a place with a band playing great Jazz music. Successful first night in NOLA.
The next morning was our first full day in New Orleans. We started our day with breakfast at the famous
Ruby Slipper Cafe. What a popular place! We had to wait for quite a bit before being seated. The food portions were quite generous!
We were now ready to walk around the French Quarter.
We of course had to stop at
Cafe du Monde for their world famous beignets! Yum!
We also went into
Pat O'Brien's to listen to some music and try the famous Hurricane drink.
We went into some random place and Natasha played a couple of songs with the band. Fun!
Random New Orleans moments!
Dinner that night was a French restaurant called
Galatoire's. The food was good, not spectacular.

After dinner, we took a taxi to Frenchmen street. We were told it was the place to go to listen to some great music. We walked around for awhile then found a place with a great band. That was a lot of fun! And a great way to end day #2.
Sunday morning started with brunch at
Commander's Palace. We enjoyed the food and the musical trio who played a number for us.

We had booked a walking tour of the Garden District following our brunch. We did make it through a quick tour of the cemetery but then it started pouring rain so we bailed. This was our last full day in New Orleans. That night we had dinner at
NOLA but unfortunately found the food to be just okay.

This was a great trip all around. I loved spending time with my sister and my two nieces. I hope we can do this again next year. How does California wine country sound?

Goodbye New Orleans... It was fun. |
