Negril, Jamaica

When you find a hotel you think you'll love, do you obsess over it? I do. The Rockhouse Hotel had been one of my obsessions for years. We had been to Negril before but Patrick was little so we couldn't stay there.
10 years later, Patrick is now a 13-year-old who agreed to hang out with me for the long holiday weekend (MLK Jr. Day 2016). So off we went leaving behind Brian who had to work.
The Rockhouse Hotel lived up to all my expectations. We stayed in Villa 11, right by the wooden bridge where one can jump off into the most incredibly beautiful clear water.
We used Antonio Airport Transfers and Tours to get to and from Negril. I have absolutely no complaints about the service. Driver was on time, professional, courteous and it was a smooth ride both ways.
Villa 11:
There's no TV in the room.
Me: Yessssssssssssss
Patrick: What are we going to do?!
Me: Really?
Some minor things: the WiFi in our room sometimes didn't work, and when it did, it was pretty weak. And yes, that also was to Patrick's dismay. Outdoors, it was not an issue. Air conditioner stopped working one evening but they came to fix it right away.

This is the life!
Our spot

After thinking about it, Patrick jumps!

The snorkeling wasn't particularly impressive. We've snorkeled in Bonaire, the British & U.S. Virgin Islands so our standards are pretty high. It was an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Around the Rockhouse Hotel

Food was pretty good but I probably enjoyed those delicious drinks more... did I really say 'probably'?The coconut shrimp and that bread pudding though. YUM!
Cheers to great getaways!
